HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. lean hamburger
1/4 c. onion, minced
1/2 c. catsup
1/2 c. macaroni
1/2 c. peas (frozen)
4 med. potatoes
2 cheese slices
Salt & pepper

Brown hamburger and onions, adding salt and pepper. When brown, cover hamburger and onions with water and simmer for half an hour; then add catsup. While hamburger is simmering, peel potatoes and cook in salted water. Add macaroni to hamburger mixture and stir to keep from sticking. You may have to add more water, but be careful not to add too much. When macaroni is almost cooked, add peas to hamburger mixture and cook another 7 minutes. Drain potatoes and mash. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Pour hamburger into a casserole and spread mashed potatoes over the top. Break cheese and sprinkle on top of casserole. Bake until cheese is melted and potatoes are golden brown. Yields 5 servings.
