HONEY CORN BREAD | |
1 c. yellow cornmeal 1 c. flour 1/3 c. honey (1/2 if you like sweeter) 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 1/4 c. shortening 1 egg Heat oven to 425 degrees. Grease square pan, 8"x8"x2" or 9"x9"x2". Blend all ingredients. Beat vigorously for 2 minutes. Pour into pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 9 to 12 servings. |
