GREEN BEAN AND LIMA BEAN
CASSEROLE
 
1 pkg. frozen string beans
1 pkg. frozen lima beans
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Dash cayenne
1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. milk (or cream)
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp. butter

Cook string beans and lima beans separately until just done. Rinse with cold water immediately to keep bright green color. Layer in casserole dish.

Melt 3 tablespoons butter in saucepan. Add flour and blend in salt, pepper, cayenne and Worcestershire sauce. Add milk all at once and stir quickly into flour and butter mixture. Cook until thick. Pour over layers of vegetables. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and dot with 3 tablespoons butter. Place in oven if cool at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until broiler until brown. Serves 8-10.
