JAM CAKE 
1 box spice cake mix
1 sm. box instant vanilla pudding
3/4 c. oil
3/4 c. water
4 eggs
1 c. jam (with seeds)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. nuts
1 c. chopped dates or raisins

Mix and pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool in pan.

CARAMEL ICING:

1 box light brown sugar
1 stick butter
1 c. cream (half & half)

Stir until it boils. When it starts to boil, do not stir. Cook to soft ball. Beat until thickens and frost. If too hard, add hot water.
