DATE AND NUT CHEWS 
2 eggs
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. Karo (red or blue label)
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. nuts
10X sugar

Beat eggs, salt and almond until light. Add sugar and Karo. Add dates and nuts; fold in flour and pour into two 8-inch greased square pans. Bake 20-25 minutes at 375 degrees. While hot, cut into squares and sprinkle with 10X sugar. These may also be rolled into balls.
