FUNNEL CAKE 
1 1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
3/4 tbsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. milk, more if batter is too thick

Sift together first 5 ingredients in separate bowl. Mix egg and milk together and add to dry ingredients. Beat until smooth.

Hold finger over bottom of a funnel. Pour in some batter, remove finger and let batter drop in a spiral motion into pan filled with 1 inch of hot oil (375 degrees). Fry until golden brown, turning once. Remove from pan; drain on a paper towel. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot.
