STEWED TOMATOES 
1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
Salt & pepper
1/2 stick butter
1/4 c. sugar
Bread crumbs

Core and crush lumps out tomatoes. In a saucepan on top of stove. Mix tomatoes, sugar and butter. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 15 minutes. Pour in buttered casserole dish. Add bread crumbs until liquid is absorbed. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
