CLAM DISH 
1 (7 oz.) can minced clams
1 c. cracker crumbs
1 beaten egg
1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage

TOPPING:

2 tbsp. butter
1 minced onion
1 can mushroom stems and pieces, sliced
Liquid from mushrooms

Combine clams, crumbs, egg and pork sausage. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Drain off fat before adding topping.

Topping: Saute onion in butter. Add mushrooms and continue cooking until they are slightly browned. Add mushroom liquid and simmer until it is about half reduced. About 10 minutes before serving time, pour over dish and continue baking until nicely browned.
