AUNT HELEN'S ALL BRAN ROLLS | |
1 c. butter 2/3 - 3/4 c. honey 1 c. All Bran cereal 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. boiling water 2 eggs, well beaten 2 pkgs. yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 6 - 7 1/2 c. flour Combine butter, honey, All Bran and salt. Add boiling water, stir until butter melts. Allow to cool to lukewarm. Mix yeast with lukewarm water. Combine yeast and eggs to other mixture. Stir in 3 cups flour. Add enough of remaining flour to get a smooth dough. Knead dough to mix in flour. Place in greased bowl covered with wax paper and allow to rise double in bulk. Punch dough down then shape into rolls of your choice. Place rolls on greased cookie sheets and allow to rise to twice size. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes. Place a piece of foil over rolls half way through baking or when golden brown. Makes about 36 rolls. |
