1 c. butter
1 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. chocolate bits
1 c. nuts

Mix all together and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
