STRING BEANS 
1 lb. fresh beans
2 sweet red pepper
1/4 lb. butter
2 cloves garlic
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Boil beans until tender, do not over cook. Drain. In a large fry pan, melt shortening with the garlic. Add the beans. Cut pepper in thin strips. Add to the beans. Saute until tender. Season to taste.
