CREAMED STRING BEANS 
2 lbs. string beans, fresh or canned
4 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. sour cream

If using fresh beans, cook until tender, reserve liquid. In saute pan, brown butter. Add flour gradually, making a paste. Add liquid from cooking or from can, stirring constantly until it thickens. Pour over beans. Cool slightly. Spoon sour cream into mixture and stir. Warm over low heat.
