HOT CABBAGE SLAW 
2 slices bacon
1/4 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. water
1/2 vinegar
1 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. cabbage, shredded

Fry bacon until crisp and onions until transparent. Drain; reserve drippings. Combine water, vinegar, salt, sugar and pepper. Cook until mixture boils. Stir flour into reserved drippings; mix well. Add bacon, onions and browned flour; cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Serve over cabbage.
