2 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter or lard
1 c. cold coffee
2 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
3 eggs, well beaten
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. boiling water

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
