MONSTER COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. + 2 tbsp. firmly packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 c. peanut butter
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. light corn syrup
4 1/2 c. uncooked oats
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. candy-coated milk chocolate pieces
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips (1 c.)

Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, peanut butter, vanilla and corn syrup, beating well. Add oats, soda and salt, stirring well. Stir in the remaining ingredients. (Dough will be stiff.) Pack dough into a 1/4-cup measure. Drop dough 4 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheets. Lightly press each cookie into a 3 1/2-inch circle. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. (Centers will be slightly soft.) Cool slightly on cookie sheets; remove to wire racks and cool completely. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen.
