APPLE CRUMB CAKE 
3 c. flour
2 sticks butter
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Dash nutmeg

Melt butter in saucepan. Pour into flour and sugar and cinnamon and nutmeg blend. Press 1/2 mixture in bottom of 8 inch square pan. Put any kind of fruit on top (but apple is best).

Crumble rest of the mixture on top and bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Sprinkle confectioners' sugar on top. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
