WHITE DINNER ROLLS 
3 c. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tbsp. salt
1 pkg. active dry yeast
Flour to make stiff dough

Turn out on floured board and knead well. Turn into a well greased bowl to grease top. Cover and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour. Turn out and knead well, then replace in bowl. Let rise again and make into rolls.

Let rise about 30 minutes and bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees. Butter the tops of rolls after baking while still hot.
