WHOLE WHEAT DINNER ROLLS
1 1/2 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. honey
1 1/4 c. milk, heated
1 egg, beaten
2 heaping tsp. salt

Mix water, sugar and yeast; let stand until foamy. Cool milk to lukewarm, then add rest of ingredients. Stir in 3 cups whole wheat flour to make a thick paste. Beat with spoon; let stand 1-3 hours until light and high. Then add white flour as needed to make stiff dough. Knead for 10-15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Let rise until double. Punch down and knead again.

Roll on greased board into golf ball size and put 9 balls to a pie pan. Let rise and bake until golden brown. These are melt-in-your-mouth delicious and receive many compliments. Can also be made into cinnamon rolls.

I like the ease of this recipe but the baking temperature was not listed. I had to guess.
