HAWAIIAN MEATBALLS | |
1 can beef broth 1 lg. can crushed pineapple in own juice 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1/4 c. red wine vinegar 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. soy sauce Mix sauce ingredients and simmer 15 or 20 minutes. Moisten 2 tablespoons cornstarch and make thick paste. Stir into sauce and simmer until clear and slightly thickened. While sauce is cooking, make meatballs. 1 egg 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. milk 15 crushed soda crackers Dash of salt & pepper Mix above ingredients and form into balls. Brown in 2 tablespoons oil or brown in microwave. Add to sauce and simmer 15 minutes. Freezes well. Good to serve with rice. |
