FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 (No. 2) can fruit cocktail with juice
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Stir together flour, sugar, salt and soda. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into a well greased and floured 8 x 10 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 c. sugar
3/4 c. evaporated milk
1 cube butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Mix sugar, butter, milk, cook until thick. Add vanilla, nuts and coconut. Spread over cooled cake.
