SUGAR BROWNED CARROTS 
4 med. carrots, trimmed
Boiling water
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
Salt

Scrape carrots. Cut them in 3 to 4 inch strips. Wash and drain. Put carrots in saucepan. Add enough just to cover cook until tender crisp. Drain. Heat butter in a fry pan. Stir in sugar. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until sugar is melted and golden. Add carrots. Cook, stirring constantly until carrots are golden on all sides.
