1 c. shortening
2 c. sugar
2 c. pumpkin
4 eggs
1 pinch salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder

FROSTING:

3 oz. cream cheese
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. powdered sugar

Mix all of the cookie ingredients. Drop by spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. For frosting, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar. Beat until fluffy (add a small amount of milk if needed). Frost cooled cookies.
