SALADE - ALA - PATRICIA 
4 c. plus greens
1 c. chopped celery
Green onions
1/4 c. sliced almonds
1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
1 can mandarin oranges, drained (or seasonal berries)
1/2 tsp. salt
Pepper
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1/4 c. salad oil
Dash red pepper sauce
1 tbsp. snipped parsley

For dressing, mix salt, pepper, 2 tablespoons sugar, vinegar, oil, red pepper sauce and parsley in a jar. Shake and refrigerate. Cook almonds and 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar over low heat until sugar is melted and almonds are coated. Put on a plate to cool. Break apart. Clean and dry greens and refrigerate. Just before serving, mix all greens, add dressing and toss; add oranges and toss. Serve immediately.
