AMISH APPLE CREAM PIE 
An authentic time-tested recipe from the Valley.

3 cups finely cut apples
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup cream
1/3 tsp. salt
1 rounded tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 unbaked pie shell
cinnamon, for sprinkling

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Mix together first five ingredients and put into an unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.

Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes; reduce heat to 325°F and bake for 30 to 40 minutes more.

When pie is about halfway done, take a knife and push top apples down to soften.
