STONE JAR NUT COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening 2 c. brown sugar, packed 2 eggs 3 c. flour 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. nutmeg 1 tsp. baking soda 1 c. nuts 1 tsp. vanilla Combine shortening, salt, vanilla, and nutmeg. Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Sift flour and soda; add alternately with milk to the creamed mixture. Add nuts and drop from teaspoon onto greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Yields 6 dozen. Omit salt and soda is using self rising flour. |
