SCALLOPED OYSTERS 
1 pt. oysters
Butter
Whole saltine crackers
Salt and pepper
Milk

Put a layer of butter about 1/8 inch thick on the bottom of a 2 quart casserole dish. Layer crackers on top of the butter followed by a layer of oysters. Salt and pepper the oysters to taste.

Put a few dots of butter on the oysters. Make a second layer starting and ending with the crackers. Pour a little bit of milk over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
