EASY GINGER COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. dark molasses
2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar; add egg and molasses and mix well. Sift remaining ingredients together; mix into the sugar mixture. Chill.

Roll dough between palms of hands and form small balls. Roll balls in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from pan immediately. Yield 45.
