VENISON STROGANOFF 
1 lb. venison steak, cut in long, thin strips
3 tbsp. flour
Salt
Pepper
1 onion
1 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 c. water
1 tsp. sugar
1 can mushrooms
1/2 c. sour cream

Dredge meat with flour and salt and pepper. Brown lightly in fat with onion. Add tomato juice, water, sugar. Simmer until tender. Ten minutes before serving, add mushrooms, sour cream. Serves 4.
