SCALDED CABBAGE/CHEESE SAUCE 
1 head cabbage
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1 c. Velveeta cheese
3 c. milk
6 tbsp. flour
2 c. bread crumbs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Put cabbage, 1 teaspoon salt and water in pan; cook until tender. Drain and put in baking dish.

Add butter, cheese, milk, flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and pepper and cook until thickened. Pour over cabbage and mix in 2 cups bread crumbs. Leave some to put on top. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbles about 30-40 minutes.
