LEMON SQUARES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1-1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 3 ingredients and press into ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F 10 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients and spread on baked crust. Return to oven and bake 18 minutes. Cool.

Frost with a frosting of 1 tsp. butter, juice of 1 lemon and enough powdered sugar to make it a spreading consistency.

Variation: Skip first three ingredients; prepare a graham cracker crust. The proceed with Lemon Squares.
