LEMON MERINGUE SQUARES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Cream butter with 1/2 cup sugar, egg yolks, lemon juice and salt. Blend in flour. Spread in greased 8 inch square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Beat egg whites until stiff. Beat in remaining sugar and lemon juice. Spread over hot baked layer. Bake another 20 minutes until lightly brown. Cool and cut into squares.
