What do you do with left-over bread? Make tasty croutons for salads, soups, or as a snack! Left-over portions of stale bread 1/4 lb. butter 1-1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese Cut bread into cubes. Melt butter, add garlic powder, and stir. Pour over bread cubes and stir. Add cheese and toss well. Spread croutons on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels or brown paper. Bake in slow oven, 250 degrees, until crisp (1 hour, 30 minutes). |
