SALTED PEANUT CHEWS 
BASE:

1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus yellow cake mix
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 egg
3 c. miniature marshmallows

TOPPING:

2/3 c. corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. vanilla
12 oz. pkg. (2 cups) peanut butter chips
2 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. salted peanuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In a large bowl combine base ingredients except marshmallows. Mix at low speed until crumbly. Press into ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 18 minutes and remove immediately. Sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven for 1 to 2 minutes until they just begin to puff. Remove and cool while you prepare the topping.

TOPPING: In saucepan heat syrup, butter, vanilla, chips just until the chips melt and mixture is smooth. (Stirring constantly). Remove from heat and stir in cereal and nuts. Spoon warm topping over marshmallows (spread evenly and chill).
