SWISS TORTE CAKE | |
1 Duncan Hines deep chocolate or Swiss chocolate cake mix 1 can Pillsbury vanilla frosting 4 oz. cream cheese 2 tsp. lemon juice 1 can Thank You cherry pie filling Make two 8-inch cakes according to cake mix package directions. Cool. While cakes are cooling, make frosting. Beat together frosting, cream cheese and lemon juice with electric mixer until smooth. Set frosting aside. Cut cherries in half. Cut each cake in half so you have 4 round layers. Put frosting on top of each layer, then cherries on top of each layer of frosting. DO NOT FROST SIDES. Frost top of cake and pour rest of cherries over top. |
