1/2 c. butter 3 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 c. brown sugar, packed 1 can evaporated milk 32 large marshmallows 12 oz. light chocolate coating 3 oz. unsweetened chocolate 12 oz. dark chocolate coating 1 tbsp. vanilla 1/2 to 2 c. chopped nuts Chocolate coating is the bags of chocolate chunks that can be purchased at places that sell candy supplies. Combine butter, sugar, and milk. Put in a large pan and stir until dissolved. Stir a few times until it comes to a boil. Cover and let boil 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and add marshmallows, stir until melted. Add chocolates, one at a time in order given, stirring each time. Add vanilla and nuts. Line a 11 x 15 pan with plastic wrap or foil or lightly grease. Pour in the chocolate mixture, chill and cut. May also be rolled in balls and dipped. Variation: use 2 lbs. peanut coating and 2/3 cups peanut butter in place of 3 kinds of chocolate. |
