RICE & SAUSAGE CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. loose pork sausage 1 stick butter 1 c. green peppers, chopped 1 c. onions, chopped 4 stalks celery, chopped 2 env. Lipton chicken soup (plain) 4 1/2 c. water 1 c. long grain rice 1 lg. can mushrooms with liquid Brown meat, remove from pan; drain well. Saute vegetables in 1 stick butter for 5 minutes. Add mushrooms. Boil 4 1/2 cups water, add soup and rice, stir constantly for 25 minutes. Add vegetables and sausage; mix and serve. To make ahead, pour in casserole, refrigerate, bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes. |
