SCANDINAVIAN FRUIT SOUP 
1/2 c. each prunes and dried apricots
1/2 c. raisins
1 cinnamon stick
2 cooking apples, sliced and peeled
2 pears, sliced
2 c. tart red cherries
1 (3 oz.) box cherry jello
1 c. boiling water
Lemon slices

Simmer prunes, apricots, raisins for 1 hour. Add cinnamon stick, apples, pears. Simmer 15 minutes more. Add cherries. Bring to boil. Add jello dissolved in hot water and lemon slices. Remove from heat. Chill well. Yield: 8 servings.
