CRANBERRY-PEAR CHUTNEY 
1 (12 oz.) bag fresh cranberries
2 pears, peeled, cored and diced
1 small onion, finely chopped
3/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. freshly grated lemon zest
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. each ground allspice and salt
1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
3 tbsp. cider vinegar

In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring cranberries, pears, onion, sugar, vinegar, lemon zest, ginger, allspice, salt and pepper to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, 20 to 25 minutes or until cranberries burst. Let cool.

Makes 6 servings.

Great to serve with chicken or pork.
