STUFFED CABBAGE LEAVES 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
4 tbsp. grated onion
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. cooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. thyme
12 lg. cabbage leaves
3 c. canned tomatoes

Combine meat with onion, saute in butter until lightly browned. Add rice, salt, and thyme; mix well. Cook cabbage leaves in boiling water for 1 minute, drain and pat dry. Spoon meat mixture on center of leaves, fold over and secure with toothpicks. Place in greased shallow baking dish; cover with tomato sauce. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
