STUFFED CABBAGE | |
12 cabbage leaves 1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1 egg 1 c. rice 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 c. milk 1/2 tsp. onion salt 2 sm. cans tomatoes 1/2 c. grated cheese Boil cabbage leaves for 5 minutes; drain and cool. Mix hamburger, egg, rice, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, milk, and onion salt together; let stand for 5 minutes. Roll hamburger mixture into balls; wrap with cabbage leaves. Place in skillet; cover with tomatoes. Pour cheese over top; cover. Simmer for 1 hour. Serve hot. Good warmed over. Yields 6 servings. |
