DANISH COFFEE CAKE 
2 pkgs. yeast
1 tsp. sugar
3/4 c. lukewarm water
1 stick of butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. milk
5 1/2 to 6 c. flour

Mix yeast, sugar and lukewarm water together and let stand for a few minutes. Cream butter, sugar, egg, salt and milk that has been scalded, then add yeast mixture and mix well. Beat in flour, when too stiff to mix, place on floured board and knead until smooth and easy to handle. Let raise, punch down and let raise again. Divide into 3 parts, pat out flat, sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and raisins. Put in greased loaf pan, let raise. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
