SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 c. solid shortening
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 c. flour
1/2 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually and cream well. Add one egg at a time, beating after each. Sift flour several times, add soda and sift once. Add flour alternately with sour cream. Add flavorings, pour in greased floured tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
