GRANDMA'S BANANA NUT BREAD 
1 c. Crisco
2 c. granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
8 tbsp. milk
2 tsp. lemon juice
4 or 5 ripe bananas
1 c. chopped nuts

Grease and flour 2 loaf pans. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream together Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and mix well.

In separate bowl combine baking powder, soda, salt and flour. Add to creamed mixture. Mash bananas and add to mixture. Add remaining ingredients. Divide into 2 loaf pans. Sprinkle tops with extra granulated sugar. Bake one hour or until top is brown and dry.
