SAVORY RICE 
2 med. onions, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. uncooked rice
1 can chicken broth
2 tsp. minced parsley
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning

Cook onions and garlic in butter until tender but not brown. Add rice and brown slightly, stirring constantly. Add broth and herbs. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cover. Cook until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 20 to 30 minutes. Salt to taste.
