SKILLET COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 tbsp. Karo syrup
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
3 c. Rice Krispies
Finely ground nuts

Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add sugar and dates and Karo syrup. Keep blending until a smooth thick puree develops. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and chopped nuts. Fold all together well.

In a large bowl pour Rice Krispies. Pour skillet mixture over all and mix while warm.

When cool enough to handle, start making small balls and roll in finely ground nuts or flaked coconut or both. Store in tightly covered container.
