EGGS BETTY | |
3 c. milk 6 eggs 1 lb. New York sharp Cheddar cheese (grated), reserve 1 cup 2 to 3 drops dark Tabasco sauce 8 slices white bread (crust removed) 1/4 lb. butter (butter bread) Butter bread both sides, cut in cubes, put in slightly buttered casserole and let sit. Mix other ingredients. Beat eggs until foamy. Pour milk and eggs over bread. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Place in refrigerator for at least 12 hours. Remove and allow to reach room temperature before baking in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Yummy! |
