ENGLISH TRIFLE 
1 angel food cake
1 lg. box vanilla instant pudding
1 can cherry, blueberry, or strawberry pie filling
2 pts. whipping cream
2 c. powdered sugar
3 tsp. vanilla

Slice all angel food cake. Cut slices in halves. Line bottom of large decorative bowl with cake pieces. Prepare vanilla pudding as directed on box. Pour spoonfuls of pudding over cake pieces. Spoon pie filling over pudding and cake. Spoon whipped topping over. Repeat each layer until you reach the top. Refrigerate.

Whipped Topping: 2 pints heavy whipping cream, 2 teaspoons vanilla, and 2 cups powdered sugar. Beat with electric mixer until thick and creamy.
