CHRISTMAS PEAR SALAD 
1 pkg. lime gelatin
3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 c. cottage cheese, creamed
1/2 c. pecans
1/2 c. celery, finely chopped
1/2 c. mayonnaise

TOP LAYER:

1 pkg. lime gelatin
3/4 c. boiling water
4 to 6 drops green food coloring
1 can pear halves
Maraschino cherries

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, then add remaining ingredients for bottom layer. Mix together and spread into 9 x 13-inch pan. Chill. Place pear halves in rows. (Each serving will contain 1 pear half.) Put 1 Maraschino cherry in center of each pear half.

To make top layer, dissolve lime gelatin in boiling water. Add food coloring. Pour evenly over pear halves, covering entire bottom layer. Chill until firm.
