JOANN'S OREO PUDDING 
This is a wonderful dessert for any picnic or family get together. Kids love it!

1 pkg. Oreo cookies
1 (12 oz.) tub Cool Whip
1 (8 oz) pkg. cream cheese
1 large box instant chocolate pudding mix
6 tbsp. (3/4 stick) butter

Crush entire package of cookies until they are very small pieces. Set aside approximately 1/4 cup of crushed cookies for topping later.

Melt 3/4 stick of butter. Pour melted butter into crushed cookies and stir completely until mixture is slightly wet. Spread and press wet cookie mixture into bottom of 9x12-inch baking pan.

Combine Cool whip and cream cheese in mixing bowl and use blender to completely blend. Spread Cool Whip/cream cheese mixture over top cookie crust.

Make instant chocolate pudding mixture according to box and let set until it just starts to thicken slightly. Pour and spread over top of cool whip/cream cheese layer.

Sprinkle 1/4 cup of crushed cookies you previously set aside over top of pudding layer as a garnish. Chill in refrigerator at least 6 hours.

It is best if it can chill overnight.
