FROSTY CUCUMBERS 
4 c. cucumbers, sliced thin with skins
1 1/2 c. onions, sliced thin
4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. water

Combine cucumbers, onions, salt and water. Let stand 2 hours, stirring often. Drain well. Don't rinse.

Add 1/2 cup vinegar, 3/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon celery seed.

Let stand until covered with liquid, stir occasionally. Put in containers, pour in liquid to cover cucumbers.

Make sure the sugar is dissolved. Might have to warm on stove a few minutes to dissolve sugar and then let cool and freeze.
